I am a Michigan landscape painter.  While working as a high school art teacher I concentrated on being a watercolorist for 25 years.  In the 1990's I switched to oils and have not stopped since.  Lately I have become an enthusiastic plein air painter.  This fall I attended a plein art workshop in the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore studying with Robert Hoffman which was a wonderful experience.

    My landscapes are mostly done in several areas here in Michigan including this rural area and the dunes of Lake Michigan near and around Grand Haven. During the winter we travel to Florida and paint the local areas there.
